Field manual
MAINFRAME has hijacked the region’s Kiro scouts and Peccy field units. Disable rogue units and restore both AWS uplinks before confronting the on-prem server colossus.
Two players. One mission.
Play together on one laptop keyboard and shared screen. Score and objectives belong to the team; health, reserves and equipment belong to each player. No friendly fire. Orange is P1; cyan is P2.
P1 · Left keyboard
- Move / aim / crouch
- A D / W / S
- Jump / fire
- Space / F
- Grenade / use / shield
- G / E / Q
P2 · Right keyboard
- Move / aim / crouch
- ← → / ↑ / ↓
- Jump / fire
- R Shift / Enter
- Grenade / use / shield
- L / I / U
P2 uses the right-hand Shift key to jump and Enter / Return to fire. Keypad Enter also fires; J and K remain alternate fire and jump keys.
Esc / P pause · M mute. Use the fullscreen button. Co-op keys are fixed; custom bindings and touch controls are for solo play.
Stay near your partner to move the shared camera. Either player can drive the rover, one at a time. Losing a life uses only your own reserve. If you run out, your partner can bring you back by restoring the next uplink. The team loses when both players are out; Retry checkpoint restores both.
- S3Storage outpost
- EC2Compute yard
- MAINFRAMEOn-prem colossus
Clear each outpost, then hold E at its uplink to restore service and save a checkpoint. Use the S3 Bucket Rover to secure the compute yard.
- IAM shield
- Q activates protection. Watch its readiness before pushing forward.
- Lambda burst
- Each correct Lambda Toolkit answer adds 14 seconds of triple fire.
AWS Toolkits
Boss Toolkits: MAINFRAME charges three ultimates. Collect the cyan case dropped by the allied helicopter and pick the AWS defense. A wrong answer ends the entire run, including both players and all reserves. Boss quizzes have no timer or Skip.
Collect a Toolkit. Answer one short AWS question to unlock its reward. In co-op, both players pause; the collector gets the buff.
Pick one of four answers. Wrong or Skip gives no reward. Read the brief result, then Continue. No timer.
Rewards stack with no inventory limit. Extra health appears as a bonus: 5/5 +3 includes three bonus health points.
Recognize rogue units
Kiro scouts Pale ghosts with oval eyes, purple harnesses, and pulse rifles. Stay low under rifle fire.
Peccy field units Orange rounded shapes, big white eyes, and the Amazon smile. Expect grenades and suppressive fire; keep moving.
MAINFRAME On foot, jump and fire at the open heat sink to hit the cooling heart. Standing shots hit the armored belly. The S3 rover cannon can reach the lower heart. Furnace: duck on the ground; jump over it from the raised ledge. Leave capacitor-mortar markers and jump the hydraulic ground shockwave.
S3 rover: Release movement, then hold Space to boost over fire. Q also shields.

Gamepad (Xbox labels): left stick / D-pad move and aim; A jump; X / RT fire; B grenade; Y use; LB shield. Start pauses. In menus: up/down navigate, left/right adjust, A confirm, B back, Start begin or resume.
Hold Fire for sustained fire; combine it with Aim or Crouch. Hold Use at an uplink; tap Use to enter or exit the rover.
Easy: 8 health, 2 reserves, ×1 points. Medium: 5 health, 2 reserves, ×2 points. Hard: 3 health, 1 reserve, ×3 points. Every earned point and completion bonus uses your mode’s multiplier. Enter a name before starting; completed and interrupted attempts appear on this device’s leaderboard. A checkpoint retry updates the same entry.

PATCH is a native pixel animation adapted from the squirrel mascot illustration supplied for this project. The S3 Bucket Rover adapts the supplied Amazon S3 bucket mascot photos into a vehicle. Standard infantry use Kiro and Peccy adaptations. Original Cloud Strike artwork includes the utility machines, river outpost, MAINFRAME and effects. No SNK artwork is included in this edition.
The title badge and outpost billboard use the official AWS logo geometry from the AWS website header. AWS, Kiro and Peccy identities belong to Amazon. The mascot sprites are adaptations, not official Amazon game assets. No affiliation or endorsement is claimed. Black Ops One and Barlow Condensed are supplied under the SIL Open Font License. Built with Phaser; original game audio.
